ASP Awards Pool Service Franchise Owners

ASP recently held our annual owners meeting at which many of our franchise locations were honored for their hard work and dedication to providing the highest quality pool service in the nation. In years past, the only award issued at these meetings was to the Franchisee of the Year, but this year we surprised many pool service franchise owners with sales awards.

We introduced three new sales ‘clubs,’ designed to honor those among us with the highest sales. The first, the President’s Club was awarded to those franchises exceeding $500,000 in gross sales in 2015. This honor went to nine pool service franchises including:
      Atlanta, GA
      Augusta, GA
      Chandler, AZ
      Charleston, SC
      Glynn County, GA
      Gulfport, MS
      Mobile AL
      Nashville, TN
      Shreveport, LA

The four franchises who exceeded $750,000 in sales were inducted into the Chairman’s Club and included:
      Athens, GA
      Edmond, OK
      Macon, GA
      Mesa, AZ

And our highest sales honor, The Founder’ Club, was awarded to the five franchises who exceeded $1,000,000 in gross sales in 2015. These five franchises included:
      Chattanooga, TN
      Columbus, GA
      Dallas, TX
      Destin, FL
      Ocala, FL


We are thankful for the hard work these franchise owners and their teams have put into their ASP businesses and know they will continue to grow their franchises in 2016. First Recipient of ASP Veteran’s Program Announced

As a way to honor the service our military veterans provide, ASP developed a veterans program in 2015 in which veterans could apply for an ASP pool cleaning service franchise and have all the franchise fees waived. We had many veterans apply and are excited to announce our winner as Miguel Macias. Miguel spent 24 years in the U.S. Navy and was even deployed to patrol the New York and Boston areas during the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. He spent 13 years as an HR officer and during his service attended the Naval Academy where he earned an MBA in human resources.

Miguel will open his pool service franchise in Reno, Nevada in April and is excited to join the franchise family. He knows the skills he learned during service in the military will be translatable to his new endeavor as a franchise owner with ASP.

ASP Pool Cleaning Franchise Owners Live by These Seven Habits

At the recent owners meeting, Stewart Vernon, Founder & CEO of ASP outlined how Stephen Covey’s ‘7 Habits of Highly Effective People’ relates to pool repair franchise owners with ASP. Here is his take on the book.

Habit 1: Be proactive: Vernon discussed the differences between working IN your business and working ON your business, and how being proactive in your goals can help you out of a day-to-day rut.

Habit 2: Begin with the end in mind: Vernon encouraged all pool cleaning franchise owners to set goals for their business with the end in sight, as you can not deliver an effective plan without knowing where you are going in the end.

Habit 3: Put first things first. Time management skills will either make or break your business. Properly managing your time will lead to increased profit and success.

Habit 4: Think Win-Win: Develop relationships with employees, partners, and vendors that are beneficial to both parties.

Habit 5: Seek to understand first, then be understood. As the owner of a pool repair franchise, the way you communicate with those around you will make you or break you.

Habit 6: Synergize: Build a great team around you. Then use everyone's strengths to improve.

Habit 7: Sharpen the saw: Improve yourself as a leader and you will produce a more successful business.

Where are the Best Franchises in ASP Located?

The annual owners meeting gave ASP the opportunity to recognize our best franchises for their sales performance in 2015. While in the past we have only awarded the Franchisee of the Year, this year we knew the top grossing franchises were also deserving of recognition, and decided to present sales awards as well.

Some of the specialty awards that were given included:
2015 Bet New Start: this award was presented to the pool cleaning service franchise with the highest gross sales among those who started in 2015, and was presented to Bill Schwimmer of the Virginia Beach franchise.

2015 Employee of the Year: This award was presented to Silas Partain, General Manager of the Mesa, Arizona pool cleaning franchise, and was given in honor of his willingness to go above and beyond the call of duty day in and out. He has demonstrated dedication, excellent customer service, and other values that ASP holds dear.

2015 ASP Rally Award: Presented to Asheville, North Carolina for turning their franchise from a struggling one into a profitable one in a year's time.

These franchises are among the best franchises in the ASP family for their performance in 2015 and pleased to be recognized for their hard work.
